For anyone who wants to be in the DeFi space, Twitter has been an indispensable tool to pick up some sage advice from people who have been the DeFi thought leaders. 

Here we shine a spotlight on some of the best Twitter handles from the famed Crypto-Twitter that are sharing the latest emerging trends in DeFi every day. We’ve also made it really easy for you to follow all of them via this list we put together

1. Spencer Noon (@spencernoon)

Serving as the head of crypto investments at DTC Capital, Spencer Noon has a following of over 21k and tweets some really helpful stuff about Ethereum and DeFi. Spencer has also started a weekly newsletter called ‘Our Network’ that covers the topics of Ethereum and Defi. The tweets from this handle are from an investment perspective, analytics and insights into the DeFi world.

2. Camila Russo (@CamiRusso)

One of the most prolific journalists in the cryptocurrency beat, Camilla Russo has written for Bloomberg Business in the past and now runs Defiant News. She also maintains a healthy presence on twitter with close to 25k followers. She has also recently released a book on Ethereum (and DeFi) called ‘The Infinite Machine’. Her handle is an absolute gold-mine when it comes to the finance side of DeFi. Don’t miss out on her tweets.

3. DeFi Pulse (@defipulse)

A resourceful twitter handle with 20k followers, DeFi pulse talks all things DeFi and metrics. In case, you want to know about the latest analytics or total value locked into the smart contracts of popular DeFi applications, DeFi Pulse is the place. DeFi Pulse is managed by Scott Lewis who manages his separate twitter account: @scott_lew_is

4. Ryan Sean Adams (@RyanSAdams)

Founder of Mythos Capital, Ryan S Adams also runs a newsletter called “Bankless”. He has a keen interest in Ethereum and making the world ‘Bankless’ (in case, it wasn’t obvious enough with the name of his newsletter). Ryan is one of the few influencers in the space who has an ear on the ground and eyes on the future. Apart from his insightful tweets about DeFi, Ryan also does not shy away from taking a dig at something he deems ‘stupid’.

5. Evan Van Ness (@evan_van_ness)

Evan has been writing content in the Ethereum ecosystem since 2016. He is also the founder of “Week in Ethereum News” and maintains a following of close to 19k on twitter. His tweets on Twitter regarding DeFi are easy to consume and more often than not, he breaks down complex content pieces into snippets for easy consumption. A must-follow handle for anyone who has just started in the DeFi space. 

6. Defiprime (@defiprime)

DeFi Prime is another notable twitter handle that markets itself as the analytical services provider for the DeFi community. With 11k followers, their tweets always offer interesting insights and educational content on DeFi to its audience.

7. Anthony Sassano (@sassal0x)

Anthony Sassano is the co-founder of EthHub.io and also co-hosts the “Into The Ether” podcast. He has a following of 16k on twitter and also writes a daily newsletter “The Daily Gwei” which talks about Ethereum (and DeFi). From DeFi memes to insights to snippets to announcements, you will find it all on his twitter account. He will definitely rub his DeFi enthusiasm on you as well.

8. David Hoffman (@TrustlessState)

David Hoffman recently hit the 10k followers benchmark. He serves as the COO at RealT and co-hosts the Bankless podcast with Ryan S Adams. He also covers the Ethereum side of POV crypto podcast. His major focus has been tokenizing the real estate but at the core of it, he remains a DeFi enthusiast and talks passionately about it in his podcasts. 

9. Chris Burniske (@cburniske)

Currently serving as a partner at PlaceHolder, Chris Burniske is a known face in the crypto universe. Formerly, he spearheaded the research on crypto-assets at ARK Invest. With a following of 123k, Chris’ enthusiasm about the future of DeFi is quite evident in his tweets. Follow him for the latest news and developments in DeFi space.

10. DeFi Dad (@DeFi_Dad)

Even if you were tweeting something unrelated but innocuously happened to insert the word DeFi into it (even without any context), chances are DeFi Dad will crop up into the scene. With a following of 8k, DeFi Dad is one of the most dedicated twitter handles, constantly tweeting and retweeting stuff around DeFi. If there is any latest happening in the DeFi space, you can count on DeFi dad to be either tweeting or re-tweeting it.  In any case, a perfect twitter handle to help you stay on top of everything in the DeFi world.

11. Chris Blec (@ChrisBlec)

Founder of DeFi watch and DeFi global, Chris Blec would remind you of that no-nonsense teacher from your school days. Not known to have a filter, Chris Blec never shies away from calling out DeFi projects that he believes are doing more harm than good for the DeFi world. Most of his tweets are educational and talk about risks and vulnerabilities in the DeFi space.

12. Arthur (@Arthur_0x)

Just like DeFi dad, this twitter handle uses a pseudonym but unlike DeFi Dad, this twitter handle is completely anonymous. Arthur has a strong focus on the investment side of things in DeFi and has tweets aplenty mentioning Synthetix, Kyber and other investments aspects in other DeFi projects.

13. Stani Kulechov (@StaniKulechov)

Founder and CEO of AAVE – an open-source DeFi protocol, Stani Kulechov has been hanging around in the DeFi space from the day of its inception. His tweets are more directed towards his work at AAVE, flash loans, yield farming and lending in DeFi space. He maintains a following of 5k followers.

14. Mariano Conti (@nanexcool)

Mariano Conti has been behind DAI protocol at MakerDAO and also heads their Smart Contract department. Having spent a considerable amount of time in building DApps, he generally tweets about his work at Maker DAO and has a keen eye on the latest happenings in the DeFi space.

15. DeFiKaren (@defikaren)

With a humble following of 900 odd people, DeFi Karen has more to offer than some modest follower count. Follow this handle to bring a tinge of humour in your DeFi diet. Modelled on the ‘Karen’ character made famous (read: infamous) by the meme community, the handle takes pot-shots at itself while talking about the DeFi happenings. Follow this handle if you don’t want her to ‘speak to your manager’.
